21.10.2011. Final training Healthy lifestyle in the regions affected by the effects of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the framework of the ICRIN project

On the 14 16th of October final training Healthy lifestyle in the regions affected by the effects of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant was conducted in Ershovo rest house.



More than twenty teachers, social workers, school and social centres psychologists from Orel, Bryansk, Tula and Kaluga regions took part in the training. Experts were pleasantly surprised by presented Healthy lifestyle programmes that teachers are already implementing in their organisations. These are research projects, workshops, talent boutiques, and school theatres. According to the teachers and social centres psychologists, children and teenagers not only support the initiatives, but also suggest their own creative projects.



Though they have vast experience of implementing Healthy lifestyle programmes, participants were very attentive to the experts from Obninsk Scientific and Research Institute Prognoz, First Moscow State Medical University named after Setchenov, Russian Institute of agricultural radiology and agroeceology, Scientific and Research Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and Defence of Nation Foundation. In their presentations and training exercises experts introduced new techniques of implementing Healthy lifestyle initiatives, including peer to peer methodology, and also familiarised participants with governments leads in fighting for Healthy lifestyle in the Russian Federation.



One of the most significant result of the training, as it was stated by the experts and participants, was a great will of the teachers not to be limited by only educational Healthy lifestyle projects. But to educate teenagers to be active and responsible for their lives and lives of those around them.
